Explanation:
This fault occurs when operation, to replace an APIC by standby APIC, errors out.

Recommended Action:
If you see this fault, take the following actions:


  1. Check if standby APIC is up and reachable via ssh. If not bring it up and reconfigure it via CIMC. Wait for standby to be discovered by active APIC cluster. Then reset the failover state and repeat the replace operation.
  2. Check if standby APIC is connected to the fabric. If not (re)establish the connection. Wait for standby to be discovered by active APIC cluster. Then reset the failover state and repeat the replace operation.
  3. Check for any process crashes and cores.
  4. If there are core files, collect them for Cisco TAC.
  5. If the above actions did not resolve the issue, create a tech-support file and contact Cisco TAC.
